View subject card

View course card

By default, the course card is added automatically, such as by creating a Bachelor's Interlocking course, and displays up to 20 courses.

Dashboard courses are arranged in alphabetical order by course name and role in the course. Nicknames and course codes do not affect the order of course placement.  Courses with  instructor roles are listed first, followed by TA roles and student roles.

Note : If you want to remove the default subject card settings, you  can customize the  subject list and manually select your favorite courses to display on the dashboard; if you bookmark one or more courses, only the favorite subjects will be displayed on the dashboard.

View course card information

View Card Information

The course card displays an overview of course information, including the course name, course code, and semester [1].

Each card can contain up to four tab icons [2]. Represents the four main activities (announcements, assignments, discussions, and files) for student lecture activities.

This tab displays based on visibility and order in course navigation, so if an instructor hides the announcement link, the announcement icon does not appear on the subject card.

An unread badge on the Discussions or Announcements tab indicates that there are new discussions or announcements in the course [3].

Badge  numbers indicate the number of new items.

Nickname generation

Nickname generation
If  one of the courses contains a long or confusing name, you can create a nickname for the subject, most subjects are created using the Student Information System (SIS), which generates subject names based on semester, department, etc. It can be difficult to distinguish subjects.

Course aliases appear in the dashboard, course menu, course titles, and notification emails.

Subject nickname aliases do not affect the subject name at the account or subject level. Only change the subject name for the individual user who created the nickname.

If you need to know the original name of a subject, hover your nickname to see the original name; also, the subject code is not affected and will always appear on the subject card for the subject reference.

Note :

  • This feature does not currently apply to dashboard sidebar elements such as global grade pages and to-do lists.
  • Course nicknames are limited to 59 characters.
